Less is More AND Addicted to CAS

Woo hoo!  I have returned home from a wonderful holiday with our daughter and her family at Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast in Qld, and am delighted to discover that the challenge I want to enter at Less is More also coincides with challenge #35 at Addicted to CAS.  LIM is having a Lucky Dip week, and the theme is 'Round and Round', whilst the ATCAS theme is 'Wheels'.
My lovely daughter brought with her some gorgeous stamps to feed my addiction (and for my recent birthday) and so I chose one of those (by Hampton Art)  for my card this week.

I minimally coloured it with Distress Markers, but added a spot of Glossy Accents to the balloon.  A day later, I added the hand-drawn border, using a die as a template.  I'm so grateful for receiving such a beautiful stamp, which lends itself so well to the CAS style I'm still trying to come to grips with.

    Lovely card Ann, and I think you have got to grips with the style beautifully! I used to love making cards with as much on as I could possibly get but am converted to CAS now. Did you handwrite the sentiment, it's super neat if you did! Stef

Something Shiny

We all love shiny things I think, so this week's challenge at Less is More is a JOY!  Here is my card, which will add to my Christmas stash. Hard to see the shine, but the next view might be better. I die cut the Joy to the World Wreath by Cheery Lyn, and inlaid it back into the white card front.  It seems to suit the CAS style better this way.  The shiny sentiment is cut from silver mirror card, mounted to self adhesive foam - as you can see in the shiny photo - no messy glue to spoil the effect! While visiting the LIM blog, I realised that my card would also qualify for the current  Muse challenge.   This is the first time I have entered, so here are their rules: Use  the inspiration card as a starting point - strictly speaking, I found my card fits the criteria after I had made it, but the links are - metallic sentiment, scattered berries, and a stitched border to frame the panel.
