One Layer Card - Water - at Less is More

This week the focus is on Water at Less is More for their One Layer challenge.  There were some beautiful inspiration cards on the DTs blogs!

I used the stamp Trickling Water from Designs by Ryn - an unusual image, which I bought when I thought I could incorporate it into some Mixed Media, but I haven't used it in that way - yet!

I masked the rectangle on my card - white heat embossed the image, then masked the drops of water so that I could sponge the area with DI - Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn.  I sprinkled drops of water for splatter, and then coloured over the trickles with Glossy Accents, which hasn't shown in my photo but looks great IRL.  The sentiment is by Annabelle Stamps.  I used a SU piercing template to pierce around my rectangle.  I have already sent this card off to the dear husband of a friend of mine, who is not too well at present.  I hope trickling water doesn't have any sublimal meaning I'm unaware of - I just thought it looked soothing!
