Scrapbook Boutique Monthly Challenge and Blog Hop

Time for a new challenge over at Scrapbook boutique, and this month's inspiration picture is so crisp and bright it's bound to get those creative juices flowing!   But first, let's check on how to be a part of all the fun!

There are two ways you can participate in this challenge, and have a chance to win a prize:  you can comment on each blog, ending with the SBB blog, or you can create a project (either a card, scrapbook layout or off the page project) inspired by this photo.  Of course you can do both for a chance to win both prizes!  Please check out the rules of entry, and the prizes at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog and note that this challenge is only open to Australian residents.

You should have arrived here from Angela's blog.

There was so much to inspire in this photo - the colours - the bright contrast of red, white, black and a little green;  the shapes - circles and zig zags; google eyes and the numeral.  Here is what I came up with:

The stamp set, Tiny Treats, by Penny Black has several adorable animals all set for party fun!  I stamped my image onto the card front, but for a little dimension, also onto a tag, lining up the tail with the balloons tied to it.  This tag was popped up on fun foam.  The matching banner was cut from card coloured with the same red, black and green markers, using the die set by Mama Elephant.

Just because I loved using this cute stamp set, I made another card in the same style - perhaps a little too much in the second card for me, but I know  5-year olds love to see more, rather than less, in their birthday cards!

It was so much fun to create these cards - I hope you give it a try too!

From here you should hop over to  Judith's blog!

Thanks for visiting and happy crafting!
