Your Kindness Warms My Heart

I've just noticed the challenge at Power Poppy Stamps for August calls for inspiration from home - so this is what I came up with!

I took inspiration from this subtle photo print, which hangs in the corner of our dining area.  It was given to me one Christmas by my son and daughter-in-law - I love its clean style and so I knew straight away what Power Poppy stamp I could use - the digi stamp Kindness.



I am fairly new to customising digi stamps but I was thrilled that I was able to move one bloom closer to the other without cutting off a corner!  I didn't manage to put one in front of the other, but I think I could next time - baby steps!  I did however bring the sentiment up over one flower!  Anyway, I'm very happy with how this first attempt turned out and will experiment further to see what magic I can do.  I have been a fan of Power Poppy for some time, and always enjoy colouring Marcella's images - they are beautiful.

    Ann, first of congratulations on winning the August Power & Spark Challenge at Power Poppy! Your card is gorgeous and such a wonderful one that was inspired by the lovely picture from your son and daughter-in-law. Your coloring is gorgeous, and I know what you mean about baby steps with digis! Bravo, and I know you will keep on getting better. It's all about practice, and I have learned a lot using them. Something Shiny

We all love shiny things I think, so this week's challenge at Less is More is a JOY!  Here is my card, which will add to my Christmas stash. Hard to see the shine, but the next view might be better. I die cut the Joy to the World Wreath by Cheery Lyn, and inlaid it back into the white card front.  It seems to suit the CAS style better this way.  The shiny sentiment is cut from silver mirror card, mounted to self adhesive foam - as you can see in the shiny photo - no messy glue to spoil the effect!
