Sweet Friend

Image
It's a sketch at Less is More this week, and this is the card I have made to submit: Stamps used:  Stampin' Up! Petal Potpourri, Flowering Flourishes, WPlus9 Hand Lettered Hello The flower was stamped in Versamark, and before the white embossing powder was added, the script word hello was also stamped over the top, before the whole image was heat embossed.  The panel was cut using Lil' Inker Stitched Squares, and the sentiment panel was an 'adjusted' square too!  I fancied using the Flowering Flourishes small stamp beneath the panels, as it seemed a little too stark without them.

Hi there - I'm over at Scrapbook Boutique again, with a card created using Mama Elephant's Potted Pretties stamp set.  I hope you can call by to see how I made it.  Here is a sneaky peep for you...

Stampin up flowers - Layered stamping

Image
Just a quick post here to show some cards I have made using the Stampin' Up! stamp set, Lotus Blossom, which came out during Sale-a-Bration.  I am a SU demonstrator, but to date, I haven't run any classes, but I did take this stamp and some inks to a card-making group of friends, and they were blown away by the great effects this stamp produced.  So here are my cards - made for a very kind lady I met in NZ, who went out of her way to find me a product I was looking for, and sent them to me herself!  I made her a set of 6 cards, as I'm sure she is the kind of person who would send Thank You cards.  You can see how effective that stamp is, and each project takes on a different look, depending on colours and design.  I love it!

Make a Wish - sneaky peak

I'm over at Scrapbook Boutique today, and here is a sneak of my card over there.  Why not pop over to their blog , to find out how I made this card! This is my first trial at this layout, more casual than my card at SBB, but quite pretty I feel.  I've used some smaller images to create pattern paper for my background strip, and I think I'll do this again for future cards - it certainly coordinates well! The stamp set used is by Mama Elephant, called Freestyle Florals - 4 large flower images, leaves, flower centres and sprays - a gorgeous set! Thanks for coming by - I've been a little busy here at home, so not much being posted, but I'll be back by the end of the month, hopefully!

June Blog Hop and Challenge at Scrapbook Boutique

Hi there!  It's another month and so another challenge over at Scrapbook Boutique! There are two ways you can participate in this fun challenge, and have a chance to win a prize:  you can comment on each blog, ending with the SBB blog, or you can create a project (either a card, scrapbook layout or off the page project) inspired by this photo.  Of course you can do both for a chance to win both prizes!  Please check out the rules of entry, and the prizes at the  Scrapbook Boutique Blog  and note that this challenge is only open to Australian residents. You should have arrived here from  Angela's  blog. Here is this month's stunning inspiration photo - isn't it elegant? and here is my card:  Best of the Bunch (lol) I loved the elegance of the navy and gold, and chose a flower stamp - from Mama Elephant's stamp set:  Freestyle Florals, similar to the dainty flower on the cake topper.  My sentiment ca...
