Celebrate Baby

Image
Hi there!  This week's challenge theme at Less is More is Congratulations  - and there is nothing better to be congratulated on than a new baby, is there? I have chosen a very soft colour palette, of SU Calypso Coral ink stamped off once, and Simon Says Stamp Fog for the elephant (Clearly Besotted 'Baby Shower').  I found this ink gave the best cover for this solid stamp.  The die cut is also by SSS.  The actual 'celebrate' word is from the SU set 'Celebrate Baby' but is now retired.  I think when I decide to mask an area before stamping again, I'd make sure that I can fit more than one word and one letter in the space, as it appears a bit awkward when I have the word in the middle of the space.  We live and learn though, and that's what is so good about entering challenges, isn't it? Hi there!  Thanks for visiting today, as we start another Blog Hop and Challenge over at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog !   There are two ways you can participate in this fun challenge, and have a chance to win a prize:  you can comment on each blog, ending with the SBB blog, or you can create a project (either a card, scrapbook layout or off the page project) inspired by this photo.  Of course you can do both for a chance to win both prizes!  Please check out the rules of entry, and the prizes at the  Scrapbook Boutique Blog  and note that this challenge is only open to Australian residents. You should have arrived here from  Angela's  blog. I took inspiration from the gorgeous turquoise blue, and the black, pearl and silver sparkles, so this is what

The inspiration for my card (as so many do) came from Therese, who made  this card  a while back and while I couldn't use her clever technique of the spotlight, it was a great help to me in deciding how and where to place my little character.  I'm happy I have this OLC CAS nailed today lol! If you're still here, you might like to see the little shaker spider I made, directly copying Jen Shultz who used Taylored Expressions dies to make hers.  I love Taylored Expressions products, but needed mine quickly to take up to Brisbane in a week or so, to make with our little girls, so I improvised and cut the legs by hand.  As you may know, they returned at the beginning o
