Over on the Scrapbook Boutique blog today, I have a card using the Hero Arts stamp set called Layering Colour Fuchsia.  I had a lot of fun playing around with the colour combinations I could use for this lovely flower stamp but for my own blog I have a more subdued colour arrangement. I also tried out my embossing diffuser, meaning that I could emboss the front panel of my card, but leave the central circle un-embossed.  This is a very useful technique, and for this I used a Tim Holtz diffuser set - including ovals, circles etc.  So you can emboss just the circle, or the panel without the circle - great idea isn't it? Please check out the blog at Scrapbook Boutique to see the full details of this stamp set - I'll see you there!

Less is More is back for the new year, with a new twist - their challenges will now run for two weeks, rather than one!  Yay!  Slower people like myself will now have no excuse to join in - so I'm here for the first one of the year - a colour challenge and it is Purples ! Recipe:  Distress Oxides and Distress Inks sponged on panel of SU shimmer white card Stamps:  SU Blooms and Wishes for panel and a retired SU set called Simply Sketched for the sentiment. Die:  MFT zig zag border Sequins from my stash.
