Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #215


The sketch this week for the Sweet Stop Challenge has a spin: It's a girl thing!




Here is my take on this great sketch - I have used the Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set called Bottom of my Heart (which comes with coordinating dies - not used this time, but very useful) stamping an assortment of hearts with Versamark on white card, then embossing them with white embossing powder.  I then sponged over these embossed hearts with Distress Inks in blue, yellow and pink.  For the floral heart (in place of the oval in the sketch), I used punched flowers in blue, yellow, pink and green.  My banner has been dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder called 'Candy Stripes'.  I stitched the card top to a pink base, then adhered it to a white card with top fold.  The mini sentiment is from the Sweet 'n Sassy set called Pennant Party, and was cut with a die from another SNS set called Mini Tag Dies (a set of 8).  I hope you like this soft and pretty style for a feminine card!

    Beautiful, Ann...love the soft pastel colors and the pretty white embossing on your girly card! The heart full of flowers is so creative and a nice feminine touch! Hugs!

Scrapbook Boutique October blog hop and challenge

Wow!  Where has the year gone already?  We will soon be caught up with the 'busyness' of Christmas, summer and holidays no doubt, so I'm happy to welcome you to this month's Blog Hop and Challenge at Scrapbook Boutique - let's have fun while we can! Scrapbook Boutique May Blog Hop and Challenge

Welcome to another blog hop and challenge at Scrapbook Boutique - this month it is based on this amazing mood board! You should have arrived here from  Angela's  lovely blog. What a beautiful collection of images, celebrating motherhood, new babies and all things girly! I just love to make 'new baby' cards, and was inspired by the little ballet shoes and dress to embellish my card with the tulle ribbon.  I also loved the metallic letters, but thought silver was a softer option than gold with pink, so kept to the silver dots on my pattern paper, as well as the silver twine.  I created my own background with a little strip of hearts from a Lawn Fawn set called Into the Woods.  Now for a close-up, to catch that sparkle!
