Scrapbook Boutique October Challenge

This is the inspiration photo for this month's challenge at Scrapbook Boutique:



 I was inspired by the elegance of this picture, the soft colours, the pearls and the bow - a lot!
For my image, I white embossed this fanciful flower by Woodware, sponged the background in pinks and mauves, added the pearls and bow.  The sentiment from the same set is stamped in Memento Paris Dusk.

I wasn't sure I would be able to enter this month, as I really should be packing for our visit to our daughter in the States, but I just knew what I wanted to do and it came together quickly last night.  I'll be back in a few weeks, so will catch up with what I'm missing then.  Cheers, Ann

    This is stunning Ann! I'm so glad you found just a little extra crafty time before you head off, make sure to take empty bags and shop for lots of goodies... have a safe trip!

Scrapbook Boutique May Blog Hop and Challenge

Welcome to another blog hop and challenge at Scrapbook Boutique - this month it is based on this amazing mood board! You should have arrived here from  Angela's  lovely blog. What a beautiful collection of images, celebrating motherhood, new babies and all things girly! I just love to make 'new baby' cards, and was inspired by the little ballet shoes and dress to embellish my card with the tulle ribbon.  I also loved the metallic letters, but thought silver was a softer option than gold with pink, so kept to the silver dots on my pattern paper, as well as the silver twine.  I created my own background with a little strip of hearts from a Lawn Fawn set called Into the Woods.  Now for a close-up, to catch that sparkle! Wow!  Where has the year gone already?  We will soon be caught up with the 'busyness' of Christmas, summer and holidays no doubt, so I'm happy to welcome you to this month's Blog Hop and Challenge at Scrapbook Boutique - let's have fun while we can! You should have arrived here from  Angela's  amazing blog but if you didn't and want to start at the beginning, just click on the SBB blog link above and start again!   Here is this month's gorgeous mood board, to inspire you!  It may be the butterflies, the colours, the designs - whatever takes your fancy!  I love using butterflies in my cards, so I was very happy with this challenge!  I was inspired by the idea of drifts of butterflies and those lovely pink colours!
