A Christmas Stocking
LIM alert - this is not the card for the challenge - that card is below!
This card was made for the challenge at Less is More - but I must have been in a fog, because the challenge is one layer - and my card is definitely not that. However, it uses a cute stamp set by Waffle Flower, so I thought I'd post it anyway.
Stop the Press! LIM challenge card!!
I'm back, because I did just sneak in a little time today to attempt the one layer card with masking!
The placement is not so good on this card, as I started my stamping with the bow - and then had to fit everything else in but I was quite happy with the result. To ensure the embossed stitched circle showed in the photo, I gently highlighted the stitching with a very pale marker.
So I will be able to enter into the one-layer LIM challenge - 'What is in my stocking?' but perhaps that will be the last for a while, as we did sell our home, and in between packing, Christmas, family etc, our time will be well taken up. I'll be back as soon as I can! Merry Christmas to all who visit me - hope your wishes come true!

Perhaps I'll find time to stamp it out directly onto the card, which will require quite a bit of masking, but I do like the design. My photo does not show the embossed stitched circle around the stocking, but if I manage a 'proper' one layer card, I'll see if I can show that better.
Stamp: Waffle Flower - Stocking
Ink: Hero Arts shadow ink - Pale tomato, Memento Onyx Black, Versafine Onyx Black
Colour: Copics

Looks wonderful Ann, love the way the presents are peeking out the top (would take a lot of masking I agree)!
ReplyDeleteLovely card. Beautifully coloured. Look forward to seeing the next one :)
ReplyDeleteSo clever Ann, although I did do a double-take on the first one thinking you'd slipped up on the one layer requirement but read on!!!! Great image, masking and colouring and thanks so much for playing along this week!
