One-layer curve

This week's challenge at Less is More is the one-layer card - with the theme 'curve'.  The one-layer requirement is always tricky, but this week I think I've found a solution to both the one layer and curve.

I have heat embossed in gold both the flag banner from a photopolymer set by Creativ, and the sentiment from a freebie from Cardmaking and Papercrafts magazine.  After embossing, I sponged Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers distress inks over the card front in a curve, to match the banner.  A few specks of water to add interest.

I'm afraid it's not a good day to photograph my card today, as cold autumn rains have just arrived to spoil our run of perfect weather, which in Melbourne is nearly always present in early autumn, even if we miss out on a few days of sunshine in summer.

  5. This is stunning, Ann! Using bunting to add the curves was a brilliant idea, and looks so classy in gold. The soft background colours set it off perfectly, and I love that you've even managed to use quite a curvacious sentiment! Awesome! Thanks for playing along with us at Less is More :)
