Happy Birthday by the Sea
Less is More challenge #386 has the theme of Water. I am lucky enough to live by the water - walking distance to the local beach - though I don't often actually swim. The water always seems too cool for me, as we live in Victoria and our beach is one of the beaches around Port Phillip Bay. However, I love to see the sea, so here is my card for this challenge.
I went to the trouble of masking the oval on my stamped layer, then decided I would prefer it to be revealed through a top layer with the oval cut out - either way, the water is the feature, achieved with a stamp that looks so realistic!
What a super summery look your card has Ann...just what we need to see here in the northern hemisphere! A truly delightful scene and I think your decision to show it through the aperture was brilliant. Thank you so much for joining us at Less is More xx
ReplyDeleteSuper LIM make - I keep forgetting about all my aperture cards! Love the addition of the string and sentiment too

Wow, this is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful Ann and the water looks very realistic! I live on the beach in Port Phillip Bay too and the water was very warm today! Thanks for joining us at Less is More!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene and I love the dimension you've added with the top panel with that oval opening. Love the soft colors, I'd want to spend time in that place! So pretty! Thanks for joining us at Less Is More!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, Ann. I live in QLD and the water is so beautiful and not too cold. It is so nice to just be near it, really, even if we don't swim :) Thanks so much for playing along at Less Is More xx
