Sunflower hugs

A quick card, using a die cut and some pattern paper to create a card which sends a hug.

I sponged the die cut in a tangy sort of brown colour, and chose some pattern paper with similar retro colour to fill the space behind it, and then reset the die back into the card front.  Added the word die and some fussy cut leaves and mounted on a Kraft base.

The challenge at LIM this week is to use washi - how lucky for me that yesterday I tried CASEing a card I saw on Etsy which used a single wooden button on a small notecard.  I didn't use a wooden button, but a die I've had for ages, with WASHI on cardstock - - woo hoo! So I'm ready early today - Sunday morning here in Australia, with temps in the 30s! Cardstock cut 18cm x 9cm for a top fold 9 x 9cm (3.5" x 3.5") Stamp is a freebie from Cardmaking and Papercraft Issue 165 - love the fonts Die is by Simon Says Stamp - Partial Cut Flowers Button die is a set of 3 by Joy! Crafts Washi - unknown origin but printed cloth tape about 1.5 inches wide Below are a couple more cards I made using washi.
