August Blog Hop and Challenge at Scrapbook Boutique

Hi there!  Thanks for visiting today, as we start another Blog Hop and Challenge over at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog!

There are two ways you can participate in this fun challenge, and have a chance to win a prize:  you can comment on each blog, ending with the SBB blog, or you can create a project (either a card, scrapbook layout or off the page project) inspired by this photo.  Of course you can do both for a chance to win both prizes!  Please check out the rules of entry, and the prizes at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog and note that this challenge is only open to Australian residents.

You should have arrived here from Angela's blog.

Here is this month's delicious inspiration photo - I just love those pretty sprinkles / cachoux???  I'm definitely not a baker, but I seem to remember that is what they used to be called when my mum baked.

I took inspiration from the gorgeous turquoise blue, and the black, pearl and silver sparkles, so this is what I came up with, using the Waffle Flower stamp set called Loved, some black heat embossing and Copic markers.  A very simple layout, but I think very suitable for many occasions, including Anniversaries which is what I intend to use it for!  I regret that even with my best efforts, the real sparkle does not show in this photo:(

And a couple more views trying to capture that shimmer and shine!

I hope you will share with us what inspiration you take from the photo this month - it's such fun seeing those wonderfully unique creations!

From here you will head to  Judith's blog

Thanks for visiting!
