Colour challenge - pastel shades
This week's challenge at Less is More is to use pastel shades in a CAS style.
I have always loved pastel colours so this week I'm very happy - here is my card, and a few more that I just had to make!
This was the first card I made for this challenge, but had to leave the sentiment off - lack of planning on my part! Inside, I stamped my latest favourite: 'Sending hugs and happy thoughts' from an Altenew stamp set - Beautiful Day. The pastel pink butterflies are cut from paper from the Cocoa Vanilla collection - 'Free Spirit'.

This card is now my favourite and is the one I selected to submit for the challenge. It also has room for a sentiment! The pastel blue butterflies were cut from a watercolour card I had coloured with Distress Inks. The glitter mat and one butterfly are the only accents.
This card is much smaller at 4" x 4" and holds fewer butterflies, but I am often finding I need little note cards like this to send to friends who just need a lift or a 'paper hug'. The card used here is also watercolored with Distress Inks.
The butterfly cover plate die is by Kaisercraft.
You've chosen some gorgeous paper for those butterflies - so pretty! I wouldn't be able to choose a favourite card as they're all lovely :)
ReplyDelete3 Beautiful cards. I don't mind cards without sentiments - especially if making for my stash - I can use for a few things that one. How lucky to get one of your "paper hugs" :)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done here. You've certainly been busy here and what gorgeous use of pastel colours. Love all the added dimension from those sweet butterflies too. Thanks for playing along at Less is More this week. Sarah
