LIM #319
Just a short post to enter the current challenge at Less is More which is a One Layer Card with the subject Leaves.
I first saw this technique on Brenda Keenan's blog, where she had one leaf, with the tree outline from Sheltering Tree stamped inside the leaf stencil. I loved it immediately and copied her idea to make thank you cards a-plenty. For this card, I have used two leaf shapes, but the same tree branches inside it - I love the colours, so rich and autumn-like - which it is in Australia right now! I used only three distress inks - mowed lawn, abandoned coral and seedless preserves. The sentiment is also Stampin' Up! - Endless Thanks.

This is a beautiful take on our leaf challenge Ann and what delightful colours you've merged here. CAS, neat and so classy. Thanks for playing with us at Less is More this week. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a super idea, Ann! I love those rich hues for the leaves, and the tree outlines nested in them look fantastic. Very stylish! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous. Such gorgeous colour. It is suppose to be Autumn still feels a lot like Summer! :) I don't mind the warm weather as long as it isn't too hot
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful idea to use those trees for the leaf veins! I must say that the colours you chose for the sponged area are absolutely glorious. They give such a rich and opulent look to your card. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
