Celebrate You

Back at last for a Less is More Challenge - #328 is a one layer with the theme of Spots/Stripes.  This is my entry.  I had been playing about with the Stampin' Up! embossing folders of Celebrate and Happy, and then found this great idea on Pinterest - to use the bokeh effect to really highlight the word.  My appreciation to Amy K for sharing her idea,  and in particular the tip of keeping the paper in place in the folder, while stamping.  It helps to highlight the word better.


I can't wait to try this out with the Happy - which is not script, but Upper Case, so not as pretty:)

Inks are SU:  Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Blushing Bride.
Stamps:  circles are by Happy Little Stampers - Mix Mash, and the You is SU - Birthday Blossoms

    Fabulous card Ann, with this bokeh effect to highlight the sentiment and the colour combo is beautiful ! Unfortunately, our theme is spots and stripes which are missing on your card. Sorry if it wasn't clear. Anyway, I love your card with its CAS design and its one layer ! Thanks for sharing with us and for playing along with us at Less is More. Hope to see you next week !

    A stunning card Ann with such wonderful use of colour. Love all those spots against that hidden sentiment and as Izzy mentions you may have missed the stripes here and apologies if it wasn't clear from our post. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us though. x

Scrapbook Boutique May Blog Hop and Challenge

Welcome to another blog hop and challenge at Scrapbook Boutique - this month it is based on this amazing mood board! You should have arrived here from  Angela's  lovely blog. What a beautiful collection of images, celebrating motherhood, new babies and all things girly! I just love to make 'new baby' cards, and was inspired by the little ballet shoes and dress to embellish my card with the tulle ribbon.  I also loved the metallic letters, but thought silver was a softer option than gold with pink, so kept to the silver dots on my pattern paper, as well as the silver twine.  I created my own background with a little strip of hearts from a Lawn Fawn set called Into the Woods.  Now for a close-up, to catch that sparkle!
