Sweet n' Sassy New Release

If you have come from the Sweet n' Sassy Digi Challenge you will know that there is a new release of beautiful digi stamps, released just in time for Easter and Spring.  The images are cute little bunnies, some carrying Easter eggs, and some dainty flowers, bees and butterflies - ahh, the thought of warmer weather is so enticing!  I have two cards for you today, using these brand new digi stamps.

My first card uses lots of bunnies - after all, Spring is nearly upon us (actually it is mid-summer here in Australia) but on our morning walks around the small lake nearby, my husband and I often see the bunnies trying to find something to eat and being constantly interrupted by intruders such as ourselves, so that they have to scurry off into the bushes.  I thought of these timid creatures when I designed this card, and thought how lovely it would be for them to be able to munch away without fear.

My second card uses just one bunny - I have seen the 'cut out' technique used often and I like how it worked out on this card - it makes the image the focus, without it being in the centre.  My colour scheme uses the soft colours of spring, when we love to rid ourselves of our heavy winter clothes and enjoy lighter, brighter things.  I punched out the butterfly from a Christina Re punch, but on reflection, I feel it is too big for this card.  However, the base butterfly is so well stuck down, it has to stay!
These images are so cute!  I hope you are inspired to use them in your own cards.
Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to make a comment - we have a mystery blogger at large!

  1. Ann, I Love the Coloring Job on your Bunnies! & the Grass Punch is perfect for your Sweet Springtime Card! Dont Worry about your Cards, I think they are lovely! I see you've made a top 3, which in my opinion is AWESOME! If you are ever in a pickle though...Just ask Stephanie, she can help you. I ask her about stuff all the time... plus I know exactly how you feel! & I'm very new to all of the Card Making myself, so most of the time I just find a Card Sketch online and then add to it. (which by the way most of my cards/projects are just "Happy Accidents")

  2. Ann, welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenges design team! :)
The tiny bunnies nestled in the grass on the first card are just darling! I think you did a super job coloring the grey bunny on the second card.

  3. Welcome to the Design Team!! I love both of your cards and you've described them so well. I like the glimpse into "life down under." Bunnies are such sweet creatures and you've colored and showcased them so well.

  4. Thank you all for your encouragement! I know I will enjoy my stint on this team, and will no doubt find myself challenged often, but that's what is so good about this card making 'hobby' (addiction). You find yourself learning something new all the time.
